✅ Feature Highlights

  • Connect Linq Gateway to HID Controllers across Virtual LAN
    Enables connections to HID controllers across different subnets. The Linq Gateway Configuration application now supports expanded controller selection options, including:

    • LAN discovery by MAC address
    • Direct MAC-based selection
    • Static IP selection
    • Selection from a specified static IP range
  • Activity Log Viewer
    Records all user-initiated actions, capturing:

    • Start and end timestamps
    • Event category
    • Description
    • Status
    • Initiating user
  • Configuration Agent
    Allows users to view and compare HID Signo Reader configurations using a Configuration ID, providing:

    • A secure, high-level summary of settings
    • A tabulated comparison of differences across configurations
  • Linq Virtual Assistant (Beta)
    An in-built virtual assistant that provides product help by responding to user queries using information from user guides and HID internal resources.
    Released as Beta while it continues to learn and expand coverage over Linq topics.

  • Help Menu
    Added a new Help menu providing quick access to:

    • Linq Cloud documentation
    • Service status (HID Origo Status page)
    • How-to videos from HID Academy
    • HID Technical Support contact information
  • Transparent HID Signo Reader Support
    Full support for managing Transparent HID Signo readers for integration with the HID M1 Transparent Gateway. Users can:

    • Convert readers to Transparent mode
    • Reset pairing data for secure reassignment
    • Revert readers to standard Signo configuration
      (Applies to Signo readers connected serially via USB Hub to the Linq Gateway.)
Infrastructure Planned Maintenance - HID Authentication Service (Production) | Ireland (EU)

SUMMARY

  • A planned maintenance window has been scheduled for the HID Authentication Service on February 9th, 2026 between 18:00-19:00 UTC

IMPACT

  • During this scheduled maintenance, access to the New HID Origo Portal may be briefly interrupted.

    • HID Origo Management Portal: Users will experience issues logging in to the portal

    • HID Origo Mobile Identities API: Users will experience issues getting authentication tokens and see intermittent HTTP 401 errors

    • HID Reader Manager Mobile App: Users will experience issues logging in to the Reader Manager app

    • HID Origo Identity Positioning API: Users will experience issues getting authentication tokens and see intermittent HTTP 401 errors

HID Origo Management Portal HID Origo Portal MFA codes not being delivered

UPDATE RESOLVED - The SMS provider has identified an issue with their primary routing to North American and some APAC affected regions. This has been fixed and users should be receiving their MFA codes via text messages quickly again. Please contact HID Support if you are still encountering difficulties in this regard.

SUMMARY Origo Management Portal is currently experiencing issues in with the delivery of Multifactor Authentication Codes via text messaging to Administrators. As a workaround, please use the "To get the code via email, please CLICK HERE." link above the Authentication Code field to receive the MFA code via email. HID is investigating the issue and will provide updates on this incident as they are available.

Tuesday 13th June 2023

Origo services affected by AWS outage

** UPDATE ** (10:42 pm UTC) RESOLVED - All backlog events at the cloud service provider have been processed and all services are fully recovered and operational.

** UPDATE ** (9:55 pm UTC) HID's cloud server provider has resolved all affected services and is working on processing the backlog of asynchronous event invocations that accumulated during and since the outage. The backlog is expected to be fully processed within the next hour. All HID Origo services are currently operational but some delays in events may occur due to the backlog at the cloud service provider.

** UPDATE ** (8:53 pm UTC) HID alerts have started clearing and Origo services have resumed operation. The cloud service provider is observing a sustained recovery and continues to monitor the situation, as do we. This incident notification will remain in "Watching" status until the HID receives an "all clear" from our cloud provider.

SUMMARY

HID is aware of the current issues with HID's cloud service provider's EAST region that is affecting the availability of HID Origo services. Our team is in contact with cloud service provider and monitoring the situation closely.
