🚀 Release Notes: Bridge User Synchronization Status, scheduled 5 months ago

📍 1.1 Scope

  • These release notes provide information related to the introduction of enhanced visibility and administrative control over identity sourcing and synchronization between the HID® Origo™ Management Portal and the Physical Access Control System (PACS) through HID Origo Bridge integration.

  • The update improves identity provisioning by clearly showing the source of each identity and highlighting situations where synchronization has failed. Portal administrators gain real-time insight into identity origin and synchronization outcomes, making it easier to diagnose issues and avoid unintentional updates in the wrong system.

  • This enhancement also improves operational transparency, data consistency, and administrative efficiency.

📍 Key Benefits

  • Clear visibility into identity source and sync state
✅Administrators can instantly see whether an identity is sourced from the PACS, created manually in the Portal, or has failed to synchronize.

  • Faster troubleshooting
✅Sync failures are clearly flagged, allowing quick identification of issues and reduced investigation time.

  • Improved data consistency
✅Clear system ownership ensures updates occur in the correct system, reducing the risk of untraceable discrepancies.

  • Greater transparency
✅Real-time indicators provide confidence in the accuracy of identity information exchanged between the Portal and the PACS.

📍 1.2 New Features and Enhancements

Real-time Identity Source and Sync Status Indicator

  • ✅A new visual status indicator is displayed on the Identity Profile page to reflect both identity origin and synchronization state.

Status Types

  • Sourced via Bridge
✅PACS identity record has been successfully created in the Portal via HID Origo Bridge.

  • Not Sourced via Bridge
✅The identity was not created through the Bridge.
✅The indicators update automatically based on HID Origo Bridge communication and system responses, providing administrators immediate insight into identity origin and synchronization status.

  • Sync Failed
✅Whenever a user is created in PACS, if Bridge creates an entity in Origo but fails to map the references, the identity will be marked as Sync Failed.

HID Origo Bridge Sourcing Awareness

  • When an identity is marked as Sourced via Bridge:

    • ✅Administrators are clearly informed that the identity is now managed by the PACS.
    • ✅Any additional updates to that identity should be performed directly in the PACS.
    • ✅Portal modifications are restricted or discouraged to prevent data conflicts.
    • ✅Establishes clear system ownership for identity management after synchronization.

📍DATE

  • 📅The deployment from Origo is scheduled for 16 March, 2026.

  • 📅The deployment from IAMS is scheduled for 17 March, 2026.
