🚀Request to Upgrade to Latest Firmware Version R10.0.11.5
  • 🛠️HID continues to release regular service pack firmware updates for the Signo Reader platform, introducing new features, enhancements, and ongoing improvements. The HID Reader Manager application provides a straightforward way to update readers to the latest available firmware.

  • To help customers take advantage of these enhancements and keep their systems aligned with the latest capabilities, we recommend upgrading HID Signo readers to firmware version R10.0.11.5 using:

    • HID Reader Manager v1.32.2 (Outside of China)
    • Tencent Store v1.32.3 (China Region)

    within the next 30 days.

  • 📌Staying current helps ensure the best overall experience with Signo readers and Reader Manager, including optimal performance and a smooth firmware upgrade process.

HID Reader Manager App Deprecation Notice
  • 📍Please be advised that older versions of the HID Reader Manager mobile application will be deprecated in phases:

🔍China (Tencent Store)

  • 📱Android Versions:
    • 1.32.2 and earlier will be deprecated effective May 20, 2026
  • 📱iOS Versions:
    • 1.32.0 and earlier will be deprecated effective June 17, 2026

🔍Global Regions (Excluding China)

  • 📱Android & iOS Versions:
    • 1.32.0 and earlier will be deprecated effective June 17, 2026
  • 📌This deprecation is part of HID’s ongoing application maintenance strategy to ensure continued delivery of secure, reliable, and up-to-date functionality.

  • 📌Customers who install a supported version of the HID Reader Manager app will continue to be able to upgrade HID Signo and HID iCLASS/multiCLASS readers without interruption.

  • 📌We appreciate your continued partnership and support.

MFA Channel Selection Enhancement – Effective 14 October 2025, scheduled 7 months ago

SUMMARY

  • As part of the R8.37.0 release, we’ve introduced an enhancement to improve the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) experience for administrators and end users.

What’s New:

  • Administrators can now configure the preferred MFA channel—SMS or Email—for users who have opted for MFA. This update provides greater flexibility and helps reduce technical difficulties during login.

Why It Matters:

  • This change is designed to minimize support incidents by allowing organizations to tailor the MFA experience based on user needs and communication preferences.

Experiencing login issues with Origo services

  • The services are restored and operational. We are continuing to monitor the situation.

SUMMARY

  • HID Origo Services are currently experiencing a service disruption. We are working to address the issue as soon as possible and will provide updates on an ongoing basis until resolved.

IMPACT

  • HID Origo Management Portal: Users may experience issues and/or delays in Invitation Code and Mobile ID management.

  • HID Origo Mobile Identities API: Users may experience issues getting authentication tokens and see intermittent HTTP 401 errors. Wallet users also affected.

  • HID Mobile Access App: Users may experience issues redeeming Invitation Codes or receiving Mobile IDs

  • HID Reader Manager App: Users may experience issues redeeming Invitation Codes or receiving Keys

  • HID Origo Identity Positioning API: Users may experience issues getting authentication tokens and see intermittent HTTP 401 errors
