HID Reader Manager App Version 1.32.0 Release

Product Update Summary

New Features

  • Reader Friendly Name
    Give your HID Signo readers meaningful User-friendly name in place of default UUID. These names stay consistent across HID Reader Manager and HID Linq Cloud.

  • SP 11 Support
    Reader technicians can now upgrade HID Signo readers from any supported firmware version to 10.0.11.5 using the Reader Manager application.

  • Hardware Compatibility
    Added support to disable LF and BLE controls for HID Signo Factory Feature Block No BLE & No LF – No BLE readers.

  • Technology Update
    Integrated the Mobile Event Logger for iOS, enabling future migration from Mixpanel.

  • During this scheduled maintenance, access to the New HID Origo Portal may be briefly interrupted.

    • HID Origo Management Portal: Users will experience issues logging in to the portal

    • HID Origo Mobile Identities API: Users will experience issues getting authentication tokens and see intermittent HTTP 401 errors

    • HID Reader Manager Mobile App: Users will experience issues logging in to the Reader Manager app

    • HID Origo Identity Positioning API: Users will experience issues getting authentication tokens and see intermittent HTTP 401 errors

MFA Channel Selection Enhancement – Effective 14 October 2025, scheduled 1 month ago

SUMMARY

  • As part of the R8.37.0 release, we’ve introduced an enhancement to improve the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) experience for administrators and end users.

What’s New:

  • Administrators can now configure the preferred MFA channel—SMS or Email—for users who have opted for MFA. This update provides greater flexibility and helps reduce technical difficulties during login.

Why It Matters:

  • This change is designed to minimize support incidents by allowing organizations to tailor the MFA experience based on user needs and communication preferences.
